From Residue to Radiance: Circular Lighting Design Workshop at TTV

Invited by the Türkiye Design Council (TTV), Born Material delivered a comprehensive keynote on the future of circularity and the strategic evolution of the brand's material vision. Following the presentation, we facilitated an intensive hands-on workshop centered on upcycled lighting design.

The session was structured as a full design cycle, where participants first engaged in conceptual sketching using leftover scraps from Born’s previous project productions. This ideation phase transitioned into a physical application process, where participants transformed industrial waste into final lighting prototypes.

The workshop demonstrated the tactile and structural versatility of transformed plastics, proving that production residues can be redefined as high-value, functional architectural products through creative intervention.
